This Louis XV is a spectacular chest with exquisite detailing. This ormolu mounted black and polychrome lacquered commode stamped 'I Dubois' is dated Mid-18th Century. The lacquer was extensively refreshed. The olive paint works nicely with the cherry red detailing under the chest. A mottled red marble top nicely breaks up the painted finish.
